Bet-Mar Liquid Hobby Shop is your ³hometown source² for home brewing & wine making supplies. Whether your interest is in a quick kit wine -- or a labor-intensive all grain brew -- we have just what you need. Since 1968 we have been providing friendly customer service, freely sharing with you our in-depth knowledge of brewing beer & making wine.
Bet-Mar was started as Arbolyn Winemaking Supplies in West Columbia, South Carolina. In 1973, the name was changed to Bet-Mar, after the second owner of the business. The store is now located near the crossroads of I-20 & I-26 in Columbia, in Saint Andrews Center, just WEST of I-26 on Saint Andrews Road (if your GPS tells you otherwise, ignore it).
Bet-Mar¹s current owners have more than 38 years¹ combined experience and have won awards for making beer & wine. More importantly, every year many of our customers win awards ribbons at the SC State Fair, placement in nationwide beer contests, etc. We¹d love to help you get started off right, or help you to just keep on making great beer, wine, cheese, liqueurs, soda pop all the fun & creative ways to have a ³liquid hobby²!!
